  • Midwest Neostone is building a Quartz processing facility in Andhra Pradesh, with Commenced Phase I facility targeting 303,600 metric tonnes capacity.*

Market & Growth

  • Quartz is widely used in industries such as solar glass, engineered stone, and semiconductors.
  • Domestic production of quartz in India reached 4,989 KT in fiscal 2024, growing at a 17.8% CAGR from fiscal 2022.
  • Rajasthan is the largest producer, accounting for 49% of India's total quartz output in fiscal 2024, followed by Telangana (23%) and Andhra Pradesh (21%).
  • Quartz exports to markets such as China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Korea grew by 47% in fiscal 2024, with China accounting for 45% of India's total export volume.
  • India remains a net exporter, consistently exporting larger volumes of quartz than it imports, with export values increasing by 164% in fiscal 2024.
